We’re gearing up for another season with the Fairfax Fat Tire Flyers, and we need YOU! Don’t let the word “coach” intimidate you—our team thrives because of adults with all different riding styles, abilities, and personalities who show up for the kids. Whether you’re fast, steady, new to the sport, or just love being outdoors, there’s a place for you here.
This role is about so much more than riding bikes—it’s about watching middle schoolers grow grit, character, and confidence while building lifelong friendships on the trail. Come be part of the experience that makes this team special.

SPLITROCK TAP & WHEEL in Fairfax
We’re starting the season the best way we know how—on the trails and at the table! Join us for our first team ride of the year, finishing at beautiful Lake Lagunitas. After the ride, everyone is invited to stick around for a team BBQ, held in partnership with the Archie Williams High School Mountain Bike Team.
It’s the perfect chance to get to know each other, share good food, and celebrate the beginning of another season of riding, learning, and fun together.

This event is all about creating a fun, supportive space on the trails for girls and non-binary riders. We’re teaming up with local squads from San Rafael, Redwood, and Terra Linda for a special GRiT Ride—a chance to connect, ride, and cheer each other on in a safe and encouraging environment.
This ride isn’t about speed or skill—it’s about community, confidence, and the joy of riding together.

Nothing brings riders together like a good trail and a sweet treat! Join us for a relaxed social ride on the newly opened Liberty Gulch Trail, and we’ll finish the day at Scoop for some well-earned ice cream.
It’s the perfect chance to spin the legs, share laughs, and enjoy time together off the bike, too.
SOCIAL RIDE
MEET AT SAUNDERS AVE PARKING LOT 10AM
Get ready for some trail-side adventure! We’ll split into smaller teams, each with a coach leading the way. Teams will be given a scavenger list of things to either snap a picture of or collect along the ride.
It’s part ride, part treasure hunt—a fun way to explore the trails, work together, and maybe get a little competitive along the way!

This ride is all about options! With so many ability levels on our team, we’re setting up a “choose your own adventure” ride so every rider can find the right challenge.
Spicy Ride: Full Pine Mountain Loop
Medium Ride: Half Pine Mountain Loop
Mild Ride: Up Porcupine to Flow Trail and back
No matter which path you pick, you’ll be riding with teammates and coaches who share your pace and your vibe. It’s the perfect way to push yourself—or just enjoy the trails at your own level.

Come join us at Breezetoberfest, where the Fairfax Fat Tire Flyers will be running the bike parking, spreading the word about our awesome team, and selling raffle tickets for a brand-new bike generously donated by our sponsor, Sunshine Bicycles!
We’ll be there in our team jerseys, enjoying the great music, fun community vibes, and sharing what makes our team so special. It’s the perfect chance to support local cycling, celebrate the season, and maybe even win a new ride!

OCTOBER 25TH
We’re thrilled to announce a very special opportunity for our team: a weekend of camping and riding at Six Sigma Ranch & Winery in Lower Lake. Each year, the property owner donates the use of this beautiful land to the NorCal League, and they’ve generously extended the same invitation to us.
This means we’ll get to explore and ride some truly unique trails that aren’t normally open to the public. It’s a rare chance to camp, ride, and connect as a team in a one-of-a-kind setting.
